The apparel guide is the most concrete: fabric weight in gsm is the single most predictive quality variable, 140 to 160 gsm tees feel cheap after five washes, 220 to 260 gsm survives 50 or more, and below 180 gsm is budget while above 240 gsm is premium. It then maps each decoration method to its limits, with silk screen at Delta E 2.5 or better from 50 units, embroidery from 50 units and DTF transfers from 25.
