REACH and SVHC compliance
How Corp-Merch.PL Poland complies with the EU REACH regulation and tracks Substances of Very High Concern across the catalogue.
Regulatory framework
REACH (EC 1907/2006) governs registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals in the EU. Articles containing Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) above 0.1% by weight must be notified to recipients under Article 33 and submitted to the ECHA SCIP database under Article 9(1)(i) of the Waste Framework Directive. The candidate list is updated twice per year; we monitor each update within 30 days and reassess affected SKUs.
How we manage it across the catalogue
Every tier-1 supplier signs a REACH compliance declaration at onboarding and re-confirms annually. For each product we hold a material declaration with CAS numbers above the threshold. Decoration inks are checked against AZO, phthalates, formaldehyde and heavy-metal restrictions per Annex XVII. Where a SKU contains a candidate-list SVHC above 0.1% by weight, we publish the Article 33 notice on the product page and submit the SCIP notification.
Local enforcement and authorities
In Poland REACH enforcement is shared between the national chemicals authority and customs. ECHA in Helsinki maintains the EU candidate list and SCIP database; we keep an internal log of all our SCIP submissions, available to Poland customers under NDA. Penalties for non-disclosure can be significant; our process treats every candidate-list update as a SKU-level review event.
FAQ
Do you guarantee SVHC-free products?
No catalogue can guarantee SVHC-free in absolute terms because the candidate list evolves. We guarantee: full Article 33 notification when an SVHC is present above 0.1%, and substitution roadmap where commercially viable.
Can I receive your full REACH declaration?
Yes — sales sends a per-SKU declaration with quote. Group-level declaration is on our trust page.
How fast do you respond to candidate-list updates?
Within 30 days we reassess and notify affected customers. Substitution within 6 months where supply allows.
Are inks and dyes REACH-compliant?
Yes — we restrict our partners to inks meeting Annex XVII and OEKO-TEX Eco Passport where applicable.
What about RoHS overlap?
RoHS applies to electronics (see RoHS page). REACH applies broadly. Many SKUs are in scope of both — our supplier checks cover both.
